Pitching gems lead Beavers to doubleheader sweep of Huskies

On most days, two runs wouldn’t be enough offensive support for a pitching staff to come away victorious. Not only was it enough in one win, but it was plenty for a doubleheader sweep as Minot State starting pitchers Ayden Sauerbrei and Wyatt Toth pitched a pair of gems on the mound to carry the Beavers to a pair of 2-0 victories over St. Cloud State on Sunday, April 19, at Joe Faber Field. Sauerbrei opened the doubleheader with a complete-game four-hitter, tossing seven innings of scoreless baseball. He struck out six and walked two, allowing just seven batters to reach base. He ...

Boys Track & Field: Legacy’s Horne breaks 100m state record
