The Minot North girls soccer team was mere moments from securing a draw and a point in the standings on the road against defending state champion Mandan until Sarah Helderop scored in the 80th minute to give the Braves a 2-1 victory over the Sentinels on Wednesday, April 22, at Starion Sports Complex. The weather was hot and so were the bats for the Minot High baseball team during its doubleheader sweep of Watford City on Wednesday, April 22. The Magicians amassed 38 runs and collected 30 hits, as they took Game 1 by putting up a season-high 27 runs in a 27-1 victory. They completed the sweep with an 11-9 win in the finale. The Minot High girls tennis team swept all three doubles matches and won five of six singles matches in an 8-1 victory over Mandan in a battle of two undefeated teams in conference play on Thursday, April 23. All three doubles teams for the Majettes (7-0 overall, 3-0 WDA) won their matches in straight sets, dropping just a total of six games.
