Minot Parks has announced the return of the 7th annual Pumpkin Walk, taking place Oct. 9, 10 and 11 from 6-9 p.m. each evening at Woodland Trail. Visitors can enjoy a free fun fall evening as they stroll through the illuminated trail, with food trucks and warm drinks available throughout the event.
The Pumpkin Walk has grown into a beloved fall tradition in the Minot community, bringing thousands of visitors to Woodland Trail for a magical stroll surrounded by glowing jack-o-lanterns, according to the park district. Due to the event's continued growth and strong attendance, Minot Parks is expanding the Pumpkin Walk to three nights in 2026.
"This event truly wouldn't be possible without our amazing community," said Elly DesLauriers, Minot Parks executive director. "From everyone who donates pumpkins and helps bring the trail to life, to the families, friends and community members who come out to enjoy it, the Pumpkin Walk is something we all create together. We're incredibly grateful for the support that has helped this event grow into such a special fall tradition."
This year, Minot Parks is aiming to fill the trail with 2,000 carved pumpkins and is asking the community to help make that goal possible. Businesses and individuals who pledge 10 or more
pumpkins will have their names or logos displayed along the Pumpkin Walk trail.
