The 2024 Minot Storm Invitational wraps up play

Minot hosted 46 teams divided up into four classifications with two divisions in each classification. The invitational was able to be played under breezy conditions with minimal impact by rain, lightning and downed trees. Tournament organizer, Thor Nelson, and his crew did end up at the Scheels Softball Complex dealing with fences that had been blown apart Saturday prior to the Sunday games.

The results for each classification and division are listed below.

16/18U Division A:

1st place, Minot 18 Blue; 2nd place, Moose Jaw Ice

The Minot 18 Blue team went 4-0, scored 31 runs and allowed 12 runs scored. The Moose Jaw Ice team from Canada went 3-1, scored 36 runs and allowed 24 runs.

Other teams in the classification and division were Minot 16 Blue, SE Sun Devils, Lumsden Cubs, Regina Royals U17 and Bismarck Gold.

16/18U Division B

1st place, Bottineau Crush; 2nd place, Regina Royals-Hartnet

The Bottineau Crush were 4-0, scored 41 runs and allowed 14 runs. The Regina Royals-Hartnet were 3-1, scored 24 runs and allowed 16 runs.

Other teams in the classification and division were Minot White, Moose Jaw U17 Ice and Regina Royals-Thomas.

14U A Division:

1st place, River CIty Renegades; 2nd place, Minot Storm Blue

The River City Renegades were 3-0, scored 40 runs and allowed 12 runs. The Minot Storm Blue were 3-0, scored 40 runs and allowed 11 runs.

Other teams in the classification and division were Lumsden, SE Sun Devils, Regina Royals U15, Regina Royals Elite, Regina Lazers and Bismarck Gold.

14U B Division:

1st place, Minot White; 2nd place, Moose Jaw Ice

The Minot White were 4-0, scored 63 runs and allowed 21 runs. The Moose Jaw Ice were 3-1, scored 64 runs and allowed 20 runs.

Other teams in the classification and division were Bottineau Crush, Storm Twisters and Regina Royals McRae.

12U A Division:

1st place, Bismarck Gold; 2nd place, Central Energy

Bismarck Gold was 2-1, scored 30 runs and allowed 16 runs. Central Energy was 2-1, scored 38 runs and allowed 11 runs.

Other teams in the classification and division were Minot Blue, Moose Jaw U13 Ice, Bismarck Blue and Regina Royals.

12U B Division:

1st place, Moose Jaw U13 B Ice; 2nd place, Minot White

The Moose Jaw U13 B were 3-0-1, scored 57 runs and allowed 23 runs. Minot White was 3-0-1, scored 59 runs and allowed 25 runs.

Other teams in the classification and division were Lumsden, Moose Jaw Ice, Bismarck White, Bottineau Crush and Royals Rampage.

10U A Division:

1st place, Minot Blue; 2nd place, Moose Jaw Ice

The Minot Blue was 4-0, scored 44 runs and allowed 26 runs. Moose Jaw Ice was 3-1, scored 29 runs and allowed 17 runs.

Other teams in the classification and division were Moose Jaw Ice Crushers, Bismarck Gold and Lumsden Cubs.

10U B Division:

1st place, Bismarck Blue; 2nd place, Minot White

The Bismarck Blue was 2-1, scored 26 runs and allowed 18 runs. Minot White was 3-0, scored 21 runs and allowed 20 runs.

Other teams in the classification and division were the Bottineau Crush and Storm Hurricanes.
