Class B baseball All-State team honors announced

The 2022 Class B baseball season has ended, with Thompson High School earning the title over LaMoure-Litchville/Marion at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo. With the conclusion of the season, the All-State first and second teams have been announced.

In addition to the team announcements, there were honors for Outstanding Senior Athlete and Coach of the Year. 10 seniors, eight juniors and two sophomores made up the first team, while six seniors, two juniors and four sophomores rounded out the second team.

Congratulations to all the athletes for the completion of a very successful season and for being grouped with great athletes in their class.

First team All-State: Brendan Maasjo (Central Cass), Jack Metzger (Northern Cass), Nick Thompson (Kindred/Richland), Kyle Odenbach (Thompson), Cole Hebl (Hillsboro/Central Valley), Landon Koenig (Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg), Corban Potts (LaMoure/Litchville-Marion), Landon Piehl (LaMoure/Litchville-Marion), Tate Mart (LaMoure/Litchville-Marion), Carter Tetrault (Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich), Jack Romfo (Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich), Dane Hagler (North Star), Kekoa Munos (Surrey), Colin Dean (Velva/Drake-Anamoose), Coltan Francis (Surrey), Carson Yale (Des-Lacs Burlington), Joe Savelkoul (Renville County), Trapper Skalsky (Beulah), Michael Fagerland (Shiloh Christian),and Trace King (Shiloh Christian).

Second team All-State: Ethan Muchow (Central Cass), Alex Everson (Central Cass), Austin Rygg (Hatton/Northwood), Tyler Cunningham (Thompson), Anthony Hanson (LaMoure/Litchville-Marion), Brady Omdahl (Park River Area), Tony Villarreal (Grafton), Brody Schneibel (Rugby), Gannon Hall (Renville County), Paxton Ystaas (Des-Lacs Burlington), Tyson Wick (Hazen), and Eli Thompson (Shiloh Christian).
