Marie Carlson Minot I’m writing in regard to the challenges our post office is facing right now. I recently stood in line for over two hours to pick up our held mail after being gone. The people in line visited and were pleasant. As I got closer to the clerks, I watched in disgust as a woman took her frustration out on the clerk. Everyone could hear what her issue was and she had good reason to be frustrated. I hoped I’d get that clerk and I did. Veteran appreciation doesn’t translate to votes

James Maxson Minot On November 11th we celebrated Veterans Day. Many take the day off, go shopping, or go hunting. We fly our flags and thank veterans for their service. This is all well and good. “Thank you for your service,” however, has not translated into voting for veterans. Three Vietnam veterans have run for U.S. President. Term limits was wrong decision

Dan Reinhard Minot At least in the great State of North Dakota, the midterm elections are over. I believe the election outcomes to be the best for our State –except for term limits. Here is why. Most States throughout the country have legislatures that serve 12 months a year in consecutive years. As we are well aware, our legislators serve in a biennial term in a four month session each.
