Love remembered during Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

Debbie was an educator for 32 years in the Minot Public schools.  I wrote the following letter to my wife during her journey with Alzheimer’s to promote awareness. The Port Moody Panthers have players whose family ancestries include Vietnam, India, South Korea, China, Japan, Brazil, the USA, Ukraine and Canadians of various European descent. Burden of proof falls on victims

Edana Kitzmann Minot 250 rape kits need to be processed so the pursuit of justice can be accomplished or at least begun. Anyone who has been a victim of a horrendous crime finds out real quick that the burden of proof that the alleged criminal is guilty falls on the victim. And that the criminal can lie and have no burden of proof of their innocence. The guilty verdict has to be proven by the victim. I personally know of a victim being also falsely accused by the criminal and the burden of proof of innocence was put on the falsely accused (who was also the victim previously). ...

Deer hunting just got more challenging

Steve Moen Minot With all the craziness going on today it makes deer hunting so much more challenging than it used to be. Now we have to wonder if the buck we have in our sights is really a buck or maybe he identifies as a doe. Or maybe the doe tag we’re about ready to fill identifies as a buck or maybe even a coyote. How are we to know? I know the tags around here are for “any” antlered or antlerless but what about one that only has antlers on one side?
