The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will offer free, volunteer-based tax preparation in Minot beginning in early February. Appointments are required and can be made starting the last week of January.

The Tax-Aide Program will be held at the Minot American Legion, 1949 N. Broadway, Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.

AARP Foundation also is offering the Tax-Aide Program in Bismarck-Mandan, Fargo-Moorhead and Grand Forks-East Grand Forks.

Tax-Aide is the largest free volunteer-based tax preparation assistance program in the United States. The program provides services to anyone but focuses on taxpayers older than 50 with low to moderate incomes. Tax preparation is provided by volunteers trained and IRS-certified each year.
