The City of Minot announced Thursday, May 28, that Minot Central Dispatch has a new non-emergency phone number.

With the addition of the new number, 701-857-1500, the previous phone number will remain active but will connect callers directly to the Minot Police Department.

The purpose of the transition was to allow callers needing non-emergency dispatch services to bypass a recorded phone tree and help ensure telecommunicators remain available for dispatch-related communications rather than administrative police department calls.

In the event of an emergency, the public is advised to always dial 911.
