Boozefighters presents check to PATH
Funds raised at car and bike show are given to PATH
Shyanne Belzer/MDN Members of PATH and Boozefighters Motorcycle Club Chapter 91 met at the PATH office for a check presentation. Funds were raised at the first Magic City Youth Car and Bike show held in May.
Members of Boozefighters Motorcycle Club Chapter 91 of Minot went to the Minot PATH North Dakota office to present a check for $2,500 to the organization to help them with their goal of making a difference in families and youth in North Dakota through foster care, adoption, independent living and other family service programs.
In May, Boozefighrers MC held their first annual Magic City Youth Car and Bike Show to raise not only funds for PATH, but also awareness for the organization and themselves.
“This has all really changed people’s views on motorcycle clubs and on foster parenting,” said Tanya Hennix, Independent Living and Recruitment Coordinator of PATH.
Nick “Tipsy” Tibbits of Boozefighters said, “I didn’t know what PATH was at the beginning and it’s really opened my eyes and the eyes of many others.”
The motorcycle club worked hard to put on the event, something that has been greatly appreciated by those of PATH. To celebrate not only the check presentation but all that Boozefighters have done to help PATH since the start of their partnership, PATH presented Boozefighters with a special plaque to commemorate the first annual event.
“Working with Boozefighters has been nothing but a privilege. They’ve worked tirelessly to put on the event for PATH,” said Becky Edwards of PATH.
The event was a success for its first year and has even brought in an uptick of interest in PATH, according to Edwards. Boozefighters is already working to plan the event again next year with Tibbits saying they plan to get bigger and better.
