BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – Minot State’s Chase Gedak shot a 2-over 74 on Monday, leading the way for the Beavers as he is tied for 21st after the first day of the NSIC Preview Tournament at the Adams Pointe Golf Club.

As a team, the Beavers shot a score of 28-over 316 for Monday’s first round and found themselves 17th in the team standings at the end of day one.

William Jewell College led the team standings after shooting a team score of even-par 288 while Max Brud from Minnesota State, Mankato leads the individual tournament field as he shot a 5-under 67 on Monday. Brud was playing as an individual.

Joshua Tu was next for the Minot State men as he shot a 4-over 76 on Monday and is tied for 34th, while Casey Fjeld is tied for 83rd at 10-over 82, Zach Hendrickson is tied for 91st at 12-over 84, and Max Karnik is tied for 94th at 13-over 85.

Minot State’s Greg Olson, playing as an individual, shot a 10-over and is tied for 83rd with his teammate, Fjeld.

The second and final round of the NSIC Preview will be Tuesday.
