Bishop Ryan Lions 8-5 over Garrison Troopers

The Garrison Troopers journeyed to John Hoeven Park to face the Bishop Ryan Lions in what supposed to be a windy doubleheader. However, due to the weather only one game was played.

The Troopers faced the day with a very young team. Garrison had two seniors, three juniors, four sophomores, four freshmen and an eighth grader to spare.

Bishop Ryan did not have a much more seasoned team. The Lions had no seniors, nine juniors, four sophomores, one freshman and a pair of eighth graders.

Lions junior Bennet Warren and eighth grader Calvin Olson were each 3 of 4 from the plate while sophomore Jack Passa and junior Teagan Coonrod were 2 of 4 batting for Bishop Ryan. As a team, the Lions were 13 of 31 for the game.

Passa pitched three innings, allowing four runs on three hits. He walked two batters and struck out four from the mound. Junior Drew Zwak pitched one inning in relief and allowed one run on three hits. He walked one batter and struck out six batters.

Garrison senior Jamison Rime was 2 of 3 at the plate while Braxton Inglehart, Matthew Jochim, Gaige Roberts and Grady Crawford each had a hit in the game. As a team, the Troopers were 6 of 25 batting for the game.

Pitching for Garrison, B. Inglehart had three runs on five hits in two and one third innings while Jochim allowed two runs on four hits in one and two thirds innings. Treyson Inglehart pitched the last two innings and allowed five runs on four hits in the game.
