Usanee Jahner
Dec. 16, 1953 – Dec. 20, 2022
Usanee Jahner, 69, Minot, formerly of Thailand, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at home.
Usanee was born on December 16, 1953 in Thailand to Toa and Tiem Rakna, the second of eight children. She was raised and educated in Thailand. On September 30, 1974, Usanee was united in marriage to Leon Jahner. The couple moved to the United States in 1975, where they would have two kids, Clifford and Leann. The young family moved throughout the United States during Leon’s military career before finally settling down in North Dakota to be near his family.
Usanee was a very outgoing and bubbly personality who easily made friends wherever she went. She didn’t like sitting around the house doing nothing and was always wanting to travel and see new things and meet new people. In 1999, she received a kidney from her daughter, which allowed to continue to see the world until very recently.
Usanee loved to play bingo and blackjack. She was also a great cook and everyone loved the meals she would prepare.
Usanee is survived by her children, Clifford (Robin) and Leann Jahner, both of Minot; grandchildren, Sierra (Zack) Urlacher, Bryana Old Rock, Chaske Bears Ghost, Brooklyn Fox, and Quinn Fox; great-grandchild, Zealand Urlacher; her siblings, three of which live in Australia and the rest in Thailand; and numerous other extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
