A soil settlement issue has been discovered at the site of a culvert replacement project at the intersection of U.S. 83 and U.S. 2 in Minot. To protect the safety of drivers while the situation is inspected and resolved, the southbound passing lane of U.S. 83 has been closed.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation is working with the contractor on a repair plan and timeline.
