Ronald F. Coleman, 84 of Fargo, passed away Monday morning, December 26th, 2022, in a memory care facility in Laguna Hills, CA surrounded by his three children.
Born on Christmas Day, December 25th, 1938, in Millersburg, Pennsylvania to his late parents Arthur W. and Jennie I. (Feidt) Coleman. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann (Erfert) Coleman on October 25th, 1975, with whom he shared 47 years.
After graduating from New Cumberland High School in Pennsylvania, he entered the United States Air Force. Ron served proudly for more than 20 years, being station in several locations wherever there was a need, and throughout the Vietnam War. One distinguished honor in his military career was serving on Air Force One. His final post brought him to Minot Air Force Base. It is in his beloved town of Minot where he met and fell in love with Ruth, and they built their lives together. After completing a degree at Minot State University, he began his civilian career. He took great pride in his role as the Veterans Representative for Job Service of North Dakota at the Minot branch.
In his private life, Ron, besides being a husband and father, loved all sports and was an active participant in softball and bowling leagues, as well as coaching soccer in Minot. His true constant passion was always following the excitement of the dirt track and sprint car series. For those he left behind, he will always be felt in the middle of the stands entering turn one on countless tracks.
In addition to his wife Ruth Ann Coleman, he is survived by daughter, Sandra (Paul) Ryding, of Houston, Texas, daughter, Rhonda (Barry) Villines, of Lake Forest, California, and son, Chad (Andrea) Coleman of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren (Sandra & Paul) Christopher, Joshua (Elise), and Samantha (Sabino Medrano) Ryding, (Rhonda & Barry) Brianna (Michael Semmel), Benjamin, and Stephen (Madison) Villines, and (Chad & Andrea) Xander, Chessen, and Thatcher Coleman. He is also blessed to be survived by 9 great grandchildren, (Joshua & Elise) Hudson and Coleman Ryding, (Samantha & Sabino) Callum, Grace, Chloe, Annie Medrano, (Brianna & Michael) Lucille and Benjamin Semmel, and (Stephen & Madison) Penelope Villines. He also leaves behind several four-legged fur grandbabies who will miss him dearly.
