Harvey Wittmayer

Harvey Harold Wittmayer, 70, Minot, ND, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Harvey was born on May 25, 1952, to Harley and Caroline (Kraft) Wittmayer, in Minot, ND. He graduated from Des Lacs High School in 1970.

In June of 1972, he entered the United States Army. He was stationed in Korea and later in San Pedro, CA, until he was honorable discharged in 1975.

Harvey was united in marriage to Diane Bartsch on July 27, 1976. Harvey and Diane were blessed with four children, Jennifer, Justin, Travis, and Ashley.

Harvey worked in the IT department at Trinity Hospital for 41 ½ years as the Applications Manager Specialist. After retiring in 2018, he volunteered to pick up bread and sweets at the grocery stores for Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry three days a week.

He loved to hunt and fish with his sons, brothers and friends. He especially enjoyed the hunting trips to Medora, ND.

He was a member of St. Therese, Church of the Little Flower and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

His loving family includes: wife of 46 years, Diane, Minot; children, Jennifer (Lance) Pederson, Kingwood, TX, Justin (Kristin) Wittmayer, Sioux Falls, SD, Travis (Brienna) Wittmayer, Minot, and Ashley (Logan) Wright, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Mabel, Sophie, Gwenyth, Will and Charlotte Pederson, Hartley Wittmayer and Willow Wright; brothers, Richard (Randee) Wittmayer, Minot and Joe (Melissa) Wittmayer, McCleary, WA. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister, Marie Ann Wittmayer.

Visitation: Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at St. Therese, Church of the Little Flower, Minot.

Prayer Service: Sunday, January 1, 2023, 4:30 p.m. at St. Therese, Church of the Little Flower, Minot.

Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, January 2, 2023, 10:30 a.m. at St. Therese, Church of the Little Flower, Minot.

Interment: Tuesday, January 2, at 9:30 am at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
