Landfill switches to summer hours April 15
The City of Minot landfill will begin summer hours on Monday, April 15.
During summer hours, the landfill will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The landfill is located at 4450 37th Ave. SW.
The city asks that residents bringing any items to the landfill, including household hazardous materials, stop at the scale house directly inside the gate, where employees will direct them to the proper location.
“With our new location, we have the ability to accept household hazardous materials, like chemicals, old paints and stains, and used motor oil, all year round,” Sanitation Superintendent Josh Kraft said. “This way, residents don’t have to wait for our spring or fall household hazardous waste collection events. They can bring their items to the landfill any time we’re open.”
