Piano students earn Gold Cups
The Nationally Federated Gold Cup Festival was held April 18 on the campus of Minot State University, featuring 111 entrants in four events.
Earning large cups worth 45 points for piano solos were Charly Anderson, Bottineau, and Grant Geller and Mark Parton, both of Minot.
Earning medium cups worth 30 points for piano solos were Ava Dobowey of Max and Berit Meinert of Minot.
Earning small gold cups worth 15 points for piano solos were: Darbi Bedard, Bottineau; Harper Wilcox, Douglas; Alivia Undlin, Lansford; Greta Grames, Hank Rau and Annika Rodgers, all of Max; Ellis Weathers, Maxbass; Archie Bischof, Boston Boyeff, Demy Braaten, Kolton Jensen, Signe Meinert, Hazel Pehrson, Gabriel Quarne, Shanaya Ramos, Archer Schnaible, Evelyn Withers, all of Minot; and Atticus Lamb, Mohall.
Earning small cups for their piano Concerti were Ezekiel Hoverson of Minot and Anderson.
The festival was sponsored by the Schumann Music Guild.
