Submitted Photo Lora Tschekoratova and Georgy Valtchev will be performing in concert with the International Artists Series on Tuesday.

Performing together as a violin and piano duo since 1996, Georgy Valtchev and Lora Tschekoratova will be in concert in Minot Tuesday, April 2, as part of Minot’s International Artist Series.

The artists have appeared together in numerous recitals and chamber music collaborations throughout the United States and Europe. Their adventurous programming has led them to musical explorations and collaborations with contemporary composers and has inspired them to create platforms for cultural exchange between the United States and other cultures.

The duo often presents the works of American composers in Bulgaria and vice versa, bringing music from the Balkans to the Western stages.

Both are Juilliard graduates and have performed the majority of the standard classical violin and piano repertoire. They will be performing at 7 p.m. in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at Minot State University.
