Minot woman sentenced for theft

Faith Marie Jeannotte, 36, Minot, was sentenced on Thursday to five years in prison, with a requirement that she first serve two years, and three years of supervised probation for Class C felony theft and Class C felony theft of a credit device. She will receive credit for 75 days already served in jail and 10 days off her sentence due to good behavior. The sentence is consecutive to sentences she is already serving. She also received concurrent sentences for Class C felony possession of methamphetamine, Class A misdemeanor possession of minor amounts of other drugs.

Judge Doug Mattson also ordered her to have no contact with an area business and several other victims and to pay $525 in court costs and restitution yet to be determined.

According to a police affidavit, Jeannotte was discovered asleep in the passenger seat of a vehicle in November of 2021 that was parked in a parking lot in northwest Minot. Jeannotte admitted to being under the influence of methamphetamine and Xanax. A search turned up stolen, forged checks in Jeannotte’s wallet, along with the drugs and paraphernalia.
