Canadian bison wander into Bottineau County
METIGOSHE – Four bison that wandered across the Canadian border into Bottineau County were spotted Saturday and rounded up Sunday morning without incident, according to the Bottineau County Sheriff’s Office.
Sighting of the animals near the old Birchwood golf course, about a mile south of the border, was reported to the sheriff’s office late Saturday afternoon. The office had received calls about the bison being on the roadway and monitored the situation while using social media to locate the owner. The bison were corralled and later relocated by the owner back to the ranch in Manitoba.
