Gabriel Edward Barrows, 24, Belcourt, has been indicted in U.S. District Court with sexual abuse.

According to court documents, he allegedly kissed and touched a woman intimately while she was asleep and incapable of consent in January.

He is currently in custody at the Ward County Jail. The judge had earlier granted him a conditional release so he could participate in substance abuse treatment but he allegedly violated the terms of release and was arrested June 4.

A jury trial in the case is scheduled for Sept. 21.
