Two injured in Watford City crash

Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash a few miles south of Watford City on Thursday afternoon, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

A 54-year-old Watford City man driving a 2010 Ford Edge and a 6-year-old boy who was a passenger in a 2016 GMC Sierra were both injured. Both were taken to a local hospital. The 29-year-old Watford City woman who was driving the GMC Sierra and two other passengers in her vehicle, a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, were not injured.

According to the Patrol, The Ford Edge was headed east on 23rd Street NW as the GMC Sierra driven by a 29-year-old Watford City woman was traveling south on 125th Avenue NW. The Ford Edge went through a stop sign at the intersection and struck the side of the Ford Sierra. Both the vehicles ended up in the ditch.

The accident is still under investigation.
