Minot City Council

When: Monday, 4:30 p.m.

Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW, or City of Minot’s YouTube channel

Agenda: The council will meet in executive session to discuss negotiations on a land purchase. During regular session starting at 5:30 p.m., the council will hold a public hearing on a street lighting district in Dakota Homes Addition and consider a MAGIC Fund request from Hot Switch Heating Systems and the assumption of ownership of the Nedrose Sewer District No. 2. The council will consider a memorandum of agreement with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and State Water Commission regarding roles and responsibilities in operation and maintenance of the NAWS biota water treatment plant. The Downtown Business & Professional Association will provide an update, and there will be a presentation on a housing study.

How to make your opinion known: Meetings are open to the public. Council members are Mayor Tom Ross, Paul Pitner, Stephan Podrygula, Lisa Olson, Carrie Evans, Mark Jantzer and Scott Burlingame.

Ward County Commission

When: Tuesday, 9 a.m.

Where: Ward County Administration Building, commission chambers

Agenda: The commission will hold a public hearing on foreclosed property minimum sales prices. It will discuss joint powers agreements between the detention center and area counties.

How to make your opinion known: Meetings are open to the public. Members are Chairman John Fjeldahl, Shelly Weppler, Jim Rostad, Howard “Bucky” Anderson and Jason Olson.
