Teens get creative with green screen at library

Experimenting with a green screen has been among the fun activities offered by Minot Public Library in its teen program.

In photography and videography, a green screen background enables the creator to change the background later in post-production. Teens gathered at the library after school on April 18 to try out some poses with the library’s green screen.

One participant, Zoey Stuart, chose to sit on a green plastic crate fixed with a green pillow in front of the green screen. She then chose a different background in post-production to make it appear as if she was sitting in a vast field of lavender.

The program provided at the library comes preloaded with six specific backgrounds students can choose to later swap out with their green background.

Backgrounds students can choose include a jaguar and Komodo dragon.

The green screen events are held every month in the Makerspace area on the second floor of the library.
