Beavers’ Paige Kellogg, Sara Van Wickler, Kierra Fournier earn All-NSIC honors

Following the best season in more than a decade, a trio of Beaver softball players collected All-NSIC honors as announced by the league on Tuesday. The league's coaches voted and honored senior infielder Paige Kellogg, who was named to the All-NSIC 1st Team for her performance on the diamond this spring, as well as to the NSIC All-Defensive Team at second base, senior outfielder Sara Van Wickler, who was named All-NSIC 2nd Team for her play, and senior pitcher Kierra Fournier, who was named the league's lone pitcher on the NSIC All-Defensive Team. The Minot High baseball team scored a combined 11 runs over the first two innings during its doubleheader sweep of Bismarck St. Mary’s on Wednesday, May 6, at Corbett Field. The Magicians plated six runs in the bottom of the first inning, scoring 11 unanswered runs in an 11-1 victory in five innings of Game 1 and never trailed in the nightcap, scoring three runs in both the second and third innings of a 7-3 win to complete the sweep.
