The Minot Metros eked out a victory over the Mandan A's 2-1 thanks in no small part to the 11 total strike outs earned by pitchers Cole Deaver and Carter Bush on Monday, June 22. The Minot Vistas had to sweat it out, but came away with a 7-6 victory over Devils Lake in the first game of a doubleheader, overcoming a seventh-inning rally by the Storm that saw the home team score three runs in their final at-bat. The good news for the Vistas was that Devils Lake needed four runs to force extra innings, and they kept the potential game-tying run on first base. Hot Tots drop two-game series to St. Cloud

St. Cloud has had the Minot Hot Tots’ number so far this season, accounting for more than one-third of Minot’s losses this season. The Hots Tots lost both games of a two-game weekend series with the Rox, dropping Game 1, 14-1, on Saturday, June 20, before falling 8-3 in the finale on Sunday, June 21.
