Remembering who we are

Steven Moen Minot I haven’t forgotten who we are! We are a Constitutional Republic not a democracy as Mr. Wolsky stated. Our founders had no use for democracies. They wanted a nation governed by laws not just majority rules as that leads to situations of 3 men and 2 women voting which woman gets raped first and by whom. Carrier creates positive mail experience

Lois A. Kankovsky We have had mail delivery problems and I often hear the many complaints. I would like to share a different story. I am 89+ years old, walk with assistance and cope with aches and pains that often accompany my age. The condo where I live receives mail in a pedestal box almost 2 blocks away and around the corner from my home, making my receiving mail very difficult, especially when mail is not delivered at the same time each day. Richard Reuer, Minot Just last weekend a friend and co-worker was involved in a serious accident that caused his pickup truck to be totaled and damages to both legs that prevent him from walking due to another driver going through a red light while he was making a left turn on Broadway and 31st Ave. It seems that many drivers here in Minot do not pay attention to the speed limits posted on 83. When I was growing up, reading was a meaningful part of my life, and I read everything I could get my hands on, sometimes reading texts far beyond my reading level. Why do we today focus on banning reading materials? Who makes the determination about what is acceptable and what should be banned? Why can’t citizens decide for themselves?
