Santos expulsion took necessary courage
Bob McNamara, Upham
I would like to commend Kelly Armstrong for his vote to expel Representative Santos. It is quite evident the ethics committee found ample evidence to show the man lied and cheated. While innocent until proven guilty applies in a court of law it doesn’t in the court of public opinion and members of Congress should be held to the higher standard. Today one was.
If we want to clean up the brutal reputation of Congress we can’t turn a blind eye. There could be only one reason not to vote for expulsion and that is that you are concerned more with your party than you are the United States.
The next one that should be dealt with is the Senator from New Jersey. I wonder if our Senators would have the guts that Mr. Armstrong showed.
