Angelo State University SAN ANGELO, Texas – Kevin Brown of Minot earned a Master of Security Studies in intelligence and analysis from Angelo State University. The university held its 2026 spring commencement exercises on May 15.
Produced water spill occurs near Cartwright
CARTWRIGHT – An undertermined amount of produced water spilled from a pipeline about seven miles northwest of Cartwright Monday, June 1. According to the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ), Liberty Resources LLC notified the department of the spill on Tuesday, June 2. The produced water released impacted surrounding pasture and a nearby spring. Produced water is a byproduct of oil and gas production. NDDEQ personnel have inspected the site and will continue to monitor the investigation and cleanup.
Detour planned on 16th Street NW
Beginning Tuesday, June 9, the intersection of 16th Street and 11th Avenue Northwest will be closed for about three days as part of the ongoing water main replacement project, the City of Minot has announced. The closure is expected to begin after the morning commute, around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. During the closure, there will be no through traffic on 16th Street Northwest between 20th Avenue Northwest and University Avenue.
