Elizabeth Smart spoke Wednesday at Minot State
Submitted Photo Elizabeth Smart, the first speaker in Minot State University’s Presidential Speaker Series, spoke Wednesday night at the university. Smart was abducted from her home in 2002 when she was 14 and she was rescued nine months later. She is now married with children and is the author of two books, “My Story,” and “Where There’s Hope,” about how to overcome trauma, find the strength to move on, and reclaim one’s life.
