MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – One of the vehicles responding to the fire at a farmstead north of Burlington on Sunday was Minot Air Force Base’s Striker response vehicle.

“This Striker vehicle specializes in responding to aircraft fire incidents,” according to 5th Bomb Wing Public Affairs at Minot AFB.

The Minot AFB Fire Department sent three vehicles in response – two fire apparatus vehicles including the Striker and one support vehicle. The base firefighters were on the scene from about 3:30 p.m.-midnight.

Firefighters from Burlington and a dozen other agencies worked to contain the fire that claimed several structures and engulfed around 200 vehicles.
