Girls Tennis: Majettes remain unbeaten with sweep of Dickinson

All eyes were on No. 1 singles during the Minot High girls tennis team’s match against Dickinson on Tuesday, April 28. Minot High’s Kyllie Fettig and Shayna Klizke matched up for the first time since the title match of the WDA Individual Tournament last year. Klizke took home the title with a 6-3, 7-6 (8) victory. She also bested Fettig 6-3, 6-1 in a non-conference match last year as well as in the WDA semifinals, winning 5-7, 7-6 (3), 10-8. Turtle Mountain scored the first run to open a doubleheader against Minot North. The Sentinels proceeded to score 32 of the next 38 runs over the final 10 innings for a sweep of the Braves on Tuesday, April 28, at Scheels South Hill Complex. It was a banner day for Minot Public Schools in Jamestown, as the Minot High and Minot North boys golf teams took the top two spots at the Jamestown Invite on Tuesday, April 28, at Jamestown Country Club. The Magicians won their fourth straight tournament to begin the season, shooting a team score of 306.
