SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A strong run at the NSIC Softball Tournament earned a pair of Minot State University (MSU) players All-Tournament Team honors as the league wrapped up its postseason action Saturday.

Minot State third baseman Hannah Murray and outfielder Sara Van Wickler each were honored as they were named to the NSIC Softball All-Tournament Team following Saturday’s title game, a 9-0 win by Augustana over Minnesota Duluth.

Murray was 4 for 7 at the plate with a double and two runs scored, and she also stole a base for the Beavers, which went 2-1 in the tournament and advanced to Friday’s semifinals. Defensively Murray anchored MSU (24-19 overall) with four putouts and nine assists without an error in three games.

Van Wickler led the offense going 5 for 10 with three doubles, a home run, and a team-best four RBIs in three games, while also scoring two runs and stealing a base. She also contributed three putouts and an assist from the outfield defensively.
