MSU men’s hockey gains commitment from Tauros player

Brainerd, Minn. native Christian Kadolph has spent the last two seasons playing for the Minot Minotauros. During his time in Minot, Kadolph played in 76 regular season games, totaling 16 points off three goals and 13 assists.

Additionally, during the 2021 season, Kadolph was part of a Minotauros team that went to the postseason, where the defenseman saw action in four games. In those games he did not register a point and played clean hockey.

The goal of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and of the Minotauros is to focus on the development of the players on their roster, helping guide them to move on to play collegiate hockey.

For Kadolph, his time and decision has arrived for where the next chapter of his hockey career will take place. That next chapter will begin not too far from where he most recently played.

On Sunday, the Minot State men’s hockey team announced that they have received a commitment from Kadolph, as he intends to make MSU his next destination.

“A fan favorite over the past two seasons, ‘Bubba’ brings a work ethic and skillset that will make an immediate impact on our blue line,” the club said in a Twitter announcement on Sunday.

Kadolph will join a MSU defense group that is primarily composed of upperclassmen and a graduate student-athlete, bringing youth into the mix.
