The Minot Hot Tots will get their first break of the season after playing 16 nights in a row, beginning on the Northwoods League’s opening day.
The Hot Tots closed out their opening stretch of games with the last of their six-game series against the St. Cloud Rox on Tuesday night, June 9.

The Hot Tots quickly took the lead in the top of the third inning.
Sohrab Rezaei put the Hot Tots on the board first when he drew a walk with loaded bases to bring Nathan Belle across home plate. Andrew Clapinski scored on the very next at bat during a double play and TJ Stottlemyre rounded out the top of the inning, scoring home after an error at short stop.
The Rox quickly took the lead back in the bottom of the third inning, scoring three runs to bring the score to 3-4. They then extended their lead to two with an additional run in the bottom of the fourth.
The Hot Tots reclaimed the lead with another trio of runs in the top of the sixth inning and extended their lead by another two with just one out on the board in the top of the eighth inning at deadline.
The Hot Tots will get one day of rest before heading back on the road to Duluth, MN to take on the Duluth Huskies on Thursday, June 11.
