The Hot Tots have had a tough few games coming out of the weekend.

The Tots and the Rox played their fifth game in a row against each other on Monday night, June 5, in St. Cloud, MN. After a four game series against the Rox at home over the past weekend, the Hot Tots walked away with just one win and three losses.

The St. Cloud Rox are the top team in the Northwoods League Great Plains West division, sporting a record of 12 wins and three losses after their win over the Hot Tots on Monday night.

The Rox got an early start against the Hot Tots in the bottom of the first inning, scoring two runs on a pair of sacrifice flies, leading the Hot Tots 2-0 for the majority of the game.

The Hot Tots had three pitchers on the mound Monday night, and despite allowing the same number of hits as the Rox pitchers at four, and earning the same number of strike outs at nine, the Hot Tots were unable to secure a run to home base.

The Rox earned one more run in the eighth inning with a single RBI to left field.

With the Hot Tots closing out the top of the ninth inning without a run scored, the Rox secured the win with a final score of 3-0.

The Hot Tots will have to face off against the Rox once more on Tuesday, June 9, before getting their first day off since opening day against the Badlands Big Sticks on Monday, May 25.

After their final game against the Rox, the Hot Tots will travel to play the Duluth Huskies on Thursday, June 11.
