The Glenburn Panthers girls basketball team is off to a 10-0 start, and one of its key players will soon be taking her skills to the collegiate level.

On Tuesday, Nadia Post signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her basketball career at the North Dakota State College of Science, in Wahpeton. A two-year school that competes within the Mon-Dak Conference, Post says a tour of the school made the decision to sign there an easy one. “The coaches and the facility were really nice, and I’m excited to be going there,” Post tells The Minot Daily News.

Academically, Post shares she has an interest in pre-med studies and felt that NDSCS was the right fit for her future pursuits in the classroom. On the court, the Glenburn native states her goal is to eventually crack the starting lineup. However, Post understands the opportunity to start will not simply be handed to her.

“It is going to take plenty of work in practice, dedication and commitment to achieve that goal,” the varsity basketball standout adds. “But as long as I keep a positive attitude, I feel confident that it can happen.”

Meanwhile, as her Panthers team continues to rack up victories this year, Post says the key to her club’s success thus far has been on the defensive end of the floor. Additionally, she adds that team chemistry has allowed the Panthers perform well under pressure. In its 10 wins thus far, Glenburn has amassed an average margin of victory of 19.8 points per game.

With the Panthers flourishing this season, Post says she hopes to cap off her final high school campaign with a trip to the state tournament. “I’ve been playing basketball since the second grade, and I really like the group of girls I play with. Being able to compete at state this year would definitely be a dream come true.”
