Bison basketball adds Joshua Streit for 2021-22

North Dakota State University head men’s basketball coach David Richman announced the addition of Joshua Streit to the Bison program beginning with the 2021-22 season.

Streit is a 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward from Watkins, Minnesota. He averaged 19 points, 14 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.6 blocks and 1.5 steals as a junior in the 2019-20 season, leading Eden Valley-Watkins High School to a record of 27-2.

“We are thrilled about the addition of Joshua to the Bison family. Early on in the recruiting process, we identified him as someone who filled a real need in our program,” said Richman. “Not only as a player and his physical abilities, but also as someone who fits what we are all about from a culture standpoint.”

“Joshua has a toughness and feel for the game that you often don’t see in players his age,” Richman continued. “He is a total team player who puts winning over individual statistics. We look forward to following him as he finishes up his senior season and then joins our program this summer.”

Streit joins 6-foot-9 forward Andrew Morgan of Waseca, Minnesota, in NDSU’s incoming recruiting class. Streit was also a standout football player, earning a spot on the Minnesota Vikings’ All-State Team as a senior in 2020. The Bison have earned four NCAA Tournament berths in the past seven seasons, including back-to-back Summit League Tournament titles in 2019 and 2020.
