Olympic medalist Lyndsey Fry to coach girls hockey camp in Minot

The Minot Hockey Boosters will be hosting a girls hockey camp, Aug. 28-30, at Maysa Arena. The Hockey Boosters hired Olympic Medalist, Lyndsey Fry, to coach the camp for girls age 8U thru high school.

The camp will feature on-ice power skating, skills, and games, mental skills training, nutrition training and team building.

“We are excited to offer this caliber of camp to the girls in our region,” said Brian Bauman, the program director for Minot Hockey Boosters, in a press release. “We brought Lyndsey back to coach this camp because she does such an excellent job. The reviews from previous attendees have been incredibly positive.”

Fry played four years of Division I college hockey at Harvard University, where she received a degree in History of Science. During her time at Harvard, she took a leave of absence for a year to play for the 2014 Olympic ice hockey team and won the silver medal with Team USA.

Following Fry’s Olympic run, she started her own hockey business to develop young ladies who share her love for the game.

For more information on signing up for the camp, contact the Minot Hockey Boosters at (701) 852-6214.
