Build center elsewhere

It is our opinion that the North Dakota State Fair Board is trying to have its way about a project which, although it would bring people and tourist dollars to the area, could be built elsewhere on fairground property, or elsewhere in the city.
Why in the world do they want to put this convention center in an area that has been as severely flooded as the fairgrounds were in 2011? We feel the Historical Society has an ongoing claim to that corner, and fits there nicely. At least, so it seems to us. The potential of a costly lawsuit hurts everyone: fair, historical society and the public.
