Glenn Gates

He was born Nov. 2, 1947, in Minot, a son of Robert and Lela (Blowers) Gates. He was raised on a farm near Loraine and attended Mohall High School and Bishop Ryan High School in Minot.

Glenn farmed for many years near Loraine. He was once married to Nancy (Ulrich) Steen. They had three children together, Ben, Rachel and Danny.

He lived with his sister, Penny, in Kailua, Hawaii, prior to returning to Mohall in 2008. He worked in this area for Jim Artz.

Glenn was excellent at fixing things; he loved working on cars and machinery. He also loved fishing and hunting.

Family: children, Reuben “Ben” (Elisha) Gates, Minot, Rachel Gates, Mohall, and Daniel Gates, Minot; granddaughter, Josslyn Gates; siblings, Joan Gates, Mohall, Mick (Pat) Gates, Lansford, Donna Gates, Andover, Minn., and Penny Ambler, Kailua, Hawaii; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Glenn was preceded in death by: his parents and grandparents.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Mohall.

Burial: Mohall Community Cemetery, Mohall.

Friends may sign the guestbook, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
