Minot DAV honors Minot woman for quilt donations

Submitted Photo Kelly Beck, center, was recently recognized by the Minot Disabled American Veterans Chapter 4 for her donations of quilts. At left is Ron Garcia, DAV Chapter 4 vice commander, and at right, Frank Senn, DAV Chapter 4 commander.

In a recent conversation with Minot Disabled American Veterans Chapter 4 Vice Commander Ron Garcia, Kelly Beck, a resident of Minot, asked a simple but powerful question: “What can I do for veterans?” The answer became a heartfelt contribution – her beautifully handcrafted quilts.

At the DAV Chapter 4 Coffee Social on Wednesday, May 20, Beck was honored for her generous donation of many quilts made with care and purpose. These quilts have quickly become cherished door prizes at the chapter’s twice’monthly Coffee Socials, bringing warmth, comfort and joy to the veterans who receive them.

During the event, Vice Commander Ron Garcia presented Kelly with a DAV desk flag, service coin and thank’you card signed by DAV members and guests, expressing the chapter’s deep appreciation for her ongoing support and craftsmanship.

Beck’s kindness strengthens the sense of community that makes the chapter’s Coffee Socials so meaningful for veterans and their families, according to chapter officials. Her dedication is a reminder of how one person’s talent and generosity can touch many lives.

Starting at $2.99/week.
