The Minot City Council met in executive session Wednesday, Aug. 26, to discuss a police department case in which confidential records are involved. In open session, the council was told the case is of a sensitive nature because it involves a mental health committal and an open and active criminal investigation. Minot Parks will hold its Soggy Doggy Pool Paw-ty on Monday, Sept. 7, from 6-8 p.m. at Roosevelt Park Pool. The event was originally expected to be moved to an earlier date due to the pool’s early seasonal closure. However, Minot Parks has decided to keep the event on Labor Day, allowing local dogs and their owners to enjoy one final splash before the summer comes to an end. On July 21, the North Dakota Information Technology Department (NDIT) identified a phishing email attack targeting HHS. NDIT acted immediately to stop the phishing email attack.
