Head start in Minot will be holding a coat drive during September, though coats are not the only needed donations.
The greatest needs are snowpants sizes 2T-7/8, snow boots sizes toddler 5-13 and youth 1-5, coats sizes 3T-7/8 and warm cold-rated gloves.
The donation timeline is Sept. 1-30, and the drop off location is Qdoba, 1700 S. Broadway, Minot.
Head Start is expecting more than 100 donations and is hoping for extras for the families of the children it will be helping. Clothing can be brand new or gently used. This is first year that Head Start has held a coat drive, but the intent is to make it a regular event.
Items will be distributed to families the first week of October.
Minot Head Start has preschool and classroom locations in Minot and at Minot Air Force Base.
