The Minot Police Department is investigating an incident on Wednesday evening which resulted in a police officer allegedly being struck by a vehicle.

According to the Minot Police Department, officers responded to an incident at about 6:54 p.m. at the 200 block of 17th Street Southeast. The nature of the incident hasn’t been released by police, but at some point after they arrived, one officer was struck by a vehicle and sustained minor injuries. The individual driving the vehicle that struck the officer was transported to the

hospital for medical evaluation.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with assistance from the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Ward County Sheriff’s Office.
