Minot International Airport passed the annual Federal Aviation Regulations certification inspection with no suggested “letters of correction,” according to the City of Minot.

Federal Aviation Administration inspectors conducted the FAR Part 139 Certification Inspection of the airport and its operations, looking at the runways, airfield lighting, aircraft rescue and firefighting readiness, wildlife hazards, fueling operations, and overall airport conditions to make sure everything meets federal safety standards.

“Our airport staff are committed to a safe, enjoyable travel experience and that priority is reflected in this positive inspection,” Minot International Airport Director Jennifer Eckman said. “Successful certification is a reflection of daily habits to continuously meet compliance standards. It is commendable that our airport has consistently passed the annual FAA inspection. It is an accomplishment that our staff set and reached the goal to pass the inspection with no letters of correction.”

The FAA Part 139 Certification Inspection is a full audit of the airport’s activities to ensure it is meeting or exceeding the federal aviation regulations for safety of the aviation system.
