MSU Summer Theatre continues Season 61 on Wednesday, July 1, with a comedic murder mystery, “Death by Design,” directed by Joey Fields.

Set in 1930s England, a playwright and his actress wife are on a getaway at their country manor following a disastrous opening night. They are soon joined by several unexpected guests, and when a murder occurs, everyone is a suspect. This murder mystery farce inspired by the works of Noël Coward and Agatha Christie keeps audiences guessing and laughing.

This is Fields’ third summer returning to MSU Summer Theatre. He performed as SpongeBob SquarePants last season, and he recently played Igor in “Young Frankenstein.”

Performances for “Death by Design” are July 1-3 and 5-7, and begin at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available online or call the box office at 858-3228.

Starting at $3.75/week.
