Fleeing suspect arrested for active warrant
The Minot Police say they arrested a fleeing suspect Monday, April 13, in southwest Minot.
According to the Minot Police Department, Ward County Narcotics Task Force officers observed a suspect in a pickup on Main Street North in downtown Minot Monday afternoon. He had an active warrant and a suspended driver’s license. The task force shared this information with the Minot Police Department, which attempted to make contact with the suspect, identified as Romeo Grant, 22, Minot. Grant reportedly fled southbound as officers approached the vehicle, and officers did not engage in a pursuit.
Grant’s pickup was located 30 minutes later at a residence in a mobile home park in southwest Minot. Grant was located inside the residence and taken into custody on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia-second offense, a Class C felony; driving under suspension-fourth offense, fleeing in motor vehicle, both Class A misdemeanors; and his outstanding warrant.
