Burlington water restrictions to run through weekend
BURLINGTON – The City of Burlington is asking residents to continue restricting their water use through the weekend despite successes in refilling the community’s water tank Thursday evening, May 28.
Burlington residents were initially informed after noon on Thursday and asked not to use water to wash cars or water grass as the water tank was extremely low.
The issue was addressed by Burlington’s Public Works Department, Burlington Police, North Prairie Water and the City engineer, according to Burlington Police Chief Phillip Crabb. Crabb advised the public to continue avoiding unnecessary usage but that all indoor residential applications were acceptable.
